Many athletes and body builders use steroids for various reasons like muscle building, improve strength, weight loss, increase lean mass, faster recovery from injuries etc.
Steroid detection tests
Knowing the fact that steroids have side effects and their abuse by athletes and body builders, has resulted them to be banned by many sports associations and committees. Hence, athletes and body builders are tested for taking steroids. Knowing the test procedure and timings will help those taking steroids. Remember that the test detects any form of steroid taken including herbal substitutes and remedies. Different procedures are followed by different organizations.
These tests are conducted to check your testosterone levels to epitestosterone levels. You will fail the test if your testosterone levels are higher than epitestosterone levels. And hence, you need to make sure that these hormones are not in your body
These are not simple tests and hence involve advanced machines to check the person.
In order not to fail the test, it is important to know the steroid testing times of the steroid that you are taking.
While testing for anabolic steroids, the testing is done to checkfor all types of anabolic steroids. This means the sample of the person involved in testing will be checked for every single type of steroid. This is the reason to know the steroid detection timings.
How is the test done?
The test is conducted by using either blood samples or urine samples. There are some expensive ways also to check for steroids like gas chromatography and liquid chromatography. These procedures involve equipments that are very costly.
Collecting urine sample is the first choice for these tests as it is the best way to check for molecules that are excreted from the body. All substances have metabolites and these are responsible for metabolism of various compounds in the body and result in a change in the original structure of these. Hence, urine is the first option to check for the byproducts of these metabolites of steroids.
Testing and testing times of the steroid Dianabol
The detection time also depends on the form of steroid that you are taking. If you consider Dianabol, it actually has a half-life of 4.5-6 hours which means it leaves your body after that. But that is not true. The short life only refers to the androgenic and anabolic metabolites of Dianabol. There could be metabolites of Dianabol that may stay in your body for a longer time. Half-life of any steroid is actually the time where the steroid is still present in your system but in reduced quantity. It takes time for the complete steroid to be washed out of your system. It also depends on the fluid intake allowing it to be excreted from your body. Though urine sample is the first way to check for steroid, Dianabol will be detecbale in your blood. Hence, blood sample is the second option.
If you are taking Dianabol orally, the detection time would be 5-6 weeks. On the other hand, if you are taking injectable form of Dianabol, it will be in your system for 5 months.
